Application Skills About Dye Sublimation Paper

Dye Sublimation paper have 3 layers, the first one is functional coating. It can absorb ink and separate dyes. Beside, in the middle is the base paper, on the bottom is a coating that resists warping.

The storage of Dye Sublimation transfer paper

At first, when customers receive the transfer of paper, look from the appearance of the transfer paper whether damaged during transport. Generally speaking, the damage of sublimation paper include several aspects. When you receive your transfer paper, make sure the cardboard is not wet and sublimation paper is not damaged.

Secondly, note the expiration date of the transfer paper. Normally, the expiration date of dye sublimation paper is seven months.

At last, Transfer paper should placed in a cool dry place to avoid direct sunlight, such as in a constant temperature and humidity air-conditioned room better. By the way, the ideal storage conditions are relative humidity 40-70% RH, temperature 10-30 ℃, stacked on the pallet to avoid moisture.

note on transfer paper in the process of sublimation paper

a) At first, the humidity of the printing environment best controlled at 45 ~ 70% RH. In particularly, please install and enable air conditioners in the inkjet printing room. Stable inkjet printing is possible with stable environmental conditions. Unfortunately, If there is no air conditioning constant temperature and humidity, the remedy is to strip the transfer paper 1-2 days before printing to make the transfer paper exposed to the air breathing, balance transfer paper in the water.

b) When the environment is very humid, the original paper layer of the transfer paper may be inconsistent with the left and right elongation. Fortunately, you can place a clean steel tube horizontally between the printer’s feed side and unwind.  Naturally, attach appropriate weights to both ends of the pipe to keep the transfer paper flat and properly tensioned before it enters.

c)The paper becomes soft when the transfer paper absorbs too much moisture in the air. In this condition, you can take away some of the small pick-up springs and lower the hold-up force to keep the printer flat.

d) To confirm the print side of the transfer paper, on the other hand, the print side of the package transfer paper is facing outward.

e) During the printing process, test strips to ensure that the ink nozzle fluency.

f) When changing the new roll transfer paper, you should test strips ensure the same color of every roll of sublimation paper.

g) In fact, while printing and rewinding, turn on the printer’s built-in heater and set the proper temperature. On the other hand, turn on the external air-drying device, depending on the ink ejection amount of the printed pattern. Certainly, to ensure that the process of rewinding will not be stained on the back, so as to avoid printing patterns flawed.
