Unlike flat heat transfers or standard DTF prints, puff transfers use specialty plastisol ink containing a heat-activated foaming agent. When our FoamRise™ transfers meet a heat press at around 320–340°F, the ink expands upward – creating the signature raised lift that defines premium streetwear apparel. You send us your artwork — vector files (AI, PDF, SVG) preferred for sharpest puff edges, or high-res raster files we’ll convert. Our art team checks every file for puff-friendly line weights and minimum stroke thickness, then sends you a digital proof for approval before any production starts.

Screen Making
Each color in your design requires its own custom-burned silk screen — this one-time setup is what defines our minimum order quantities and ensures pixel-perfect ink coverage on every transfer. Our screens are precision-engineered for puff plastisol, with mesh counts optimized to hold the foaming agent at exactly the right thickness for maximum 3D lift.

Printing
We screen-print your design onto premium transfer film using specialty plastisol puff ink — with DTF technology integrated for superior color fidelity and full-spectrum reproduction. Quality Control
Every gang sheet passes a 3-point inspection: ink density check, registration alignment under magnification, and a destructive test press from each batch — we apply a sample transfer to verify true puff lift, color match, and wash durability before your full order ships. No, you only need a standard commercial heat press. We handle the complex hybrid manufacturing process (combining screen printing and DTF) at our facility. We deliver ready-to-press films directly to you, saving your factory time, R&D, and expensive equipment costs.
Will the 3D puff effect flatten, crack, or fade after washing?
No. FoamRise™ transfers have passed rigorous industrial wash tests and deliver excellent quality durability. When pressed correctly, the 3D structure maintains its raised texture and resists cracking or fading. For best results, we recommend advising end-users to wash garments inside out on a cold cycle.
What types of fabrics are compatible with FoamRise™ puff transfers?

What are the optimal heat press settings to get the best 3D rise?
For a uniform and striking 3D rise, press FoamRise™ films at 155°C (311°F) for 8 seconds 2 times. Firm pressure (around 5-6kg) is critical to ensure the puff activates completely. Always wait for the film to cool down completely before peeling (Cold Peel).
