A UV DTF printer prints full-color graphics, white ink and varnish onto a special adhesive A film. The printed design is then laminated with B film and transferred onto the product surface without printing directly on the object.
UV DTF transfers can be applied to many smooth, hard surfaces, including glass, acrylic, metal, ceramics, coated wood, plastic, leather, phone cases and product packaging. Adhesion should always be tested before volume production because surface coatings and textures vary.
No. A roll-to-roll UV DTF printer prints onto transfer film rather than directly onto the product. The finished graphic is peeled from the film and manually applied to the target surface.
No. Standard UV DTF transfers are applied using pressure and do not require a heat press. This makes the process suitable for irregular, curved or heat-sensitive products.
Flatbed UV printers print directly onto objects placed on the printing platform. UV DTF printers print onto adhesive transfer film, allowing graphics to be applied later to curved, irregular or difficult-to-position products.
A 30 cm UV DTF printer is more compact and suitable for startups, personalized gifts and smaller production volumes. A 60 cm model provides a wider printing area and higher production capacity for commercial or industrial transfer production.
Most UV DTF printers use CMYK color ink together with white ink and varnish. White ink provides opacity on dark or transparent surfaces, while varnish can add gloss, texture and dimensional effects.
A film is the printable adhesive film that receives the ink and varnish. B film is the laminating or transfer film used to carry and apply the finished graphic to the product surface.
Sublistar roll-to-roll UV DTF systems integrate printing and lamination into one workflow. The exact laminating structure and operating configuration depend on the selected printer model.
An embroidery-like UV DTF transfer uses layered ink and special printing techniques to create raised textures that resemble stitched or embroidered patterns. It is suitable for jersey logos, fashion patches and decorative apparel applications.
